Parisian Inspired Bridal Shower

It is a thrill to have provided a few of my dessert domes for a Parisian Inspired Bridal Party that was recently published on Style Me Pretty. The party was held at one of my most favourite restaurants in all of Toronto, Colette Grand Cafe. As always, it was a joy to create the dozen dessert domes for Phoebe Lo Events. The afternoon event was captured beautifully by Anita of Rhythm Photography and all other vendors are credited on the blog post.

Enchanted Vintage Garden

Earlier this year, I had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a lovely group of talented ladies to create an ‘Enchanted Vintage Garden‘ which was featured on the Wedding Co. blog. I was invited to participate in this creative endeavour by Jennifer of Tufts & Toile who I met over Facebook by a mutual friend. In her words, here is a peak into the inspiration behind the shoot:

“The original inspiration behind this shoot came from the charming, yet simplistic idea of using glass domes as the main décor element to be found throughout, to give the shoot an enchanted feel, just like the mysterious rose from Beauty and the Beast. The use of moss and succulents in the domes for the centerpiece at the sweetheart table and the bright coloured hand-crafted miniature pies covered in glass at the pie station where some of the perfect ways we were able to delightfully showcase these glass beauties.”

At the pie station, I used a tall glass dome to display a stack of mini pies. The smaller domes are the perfect size for an individual serving of dessert.

Each dessert dome on the sweetheart table was personalized with a Mr. and Mrs. locket for an air of mystery and charm.

Paige Smith Designs Styling

I have been onsite for a few shoots in the past, but this is the first one where I helped Jennifer (who was very pregnant at the time) with setting up, styling and tear down. Some people love being centre-stage but I have always found my sweet spot behind-the-scenes. Thank you Paje (of Honor Beauty) for taking this shot!
