Paris to the Moon

I love everything ‘Paris’ so it was such a thrill to contribute a few of my pieces to this amazing feature called ‘Paris to the Moon‘ published in WedLuxe Magazine and on the blog as well. The creative producer and stylist behind this ‘Literary Love’ style file contest theme was Cynthia Martyn of Cynthia Martyn Fine Events. It was photographed beautifully by Corina of Corina V. Photography and all of the other wonderful vendors who came together to create this magical feature are listed at the end of this post.

The photo shoot was held at my favourite restaurant Colette in downtown Toronto. I love walking through the doors of Colette because I always feel like I have been swept away to the other side of the world. So Colette was the perfect venue to set the backdrop for this parisian-inspired feature.

For the sweetheart table, I created ‘His & Hers’ mini dessert domes to display gold dusted macarons. To carry the theme of the title, one dome featured an Eiffel tower charm and the other one had a moon. You can just see the tops of the dessert domes peeking above the chairs side-by-side in the photo below.

Also in keeping with the paris/celestial theme, the vintage saucer of the ring holder features a striking and bold ‘sunburst’ design. The Sunburst Vintage Saucer Ring Holder was custom made for this concept and is currently available to purchase on Etsy.

Thank you Cynthia for inviting me to participate in this concept and it was lovely meeting the other many talented ladies (and gents) as well.

Sweet Bee Tea Party

Earlier this week, I had a lovely visit with Irina of Sweet Bee Tea Party at her home studio. We both share a love for vintage china (we ‘met’ on Instagram), so it was such a treat to see all of the beautiful china pieces she rents out for tea parties and other events. She has such an amazing selection of inventory to choose from: vintage china cups and saucers, teapots, serving trays, milk and sugar sets, silverware, charger plates, centrepiece decorations and more. If you are looking for something special, Irina is such a talented lady who can create the most beautiful table for your next tea party, bridal or baby shower.

Irina has also generously made some space on her shelf to display a few examples of my mini dessert domes. We had so much fun styling it together! The mini dessert domes can be customized to match any colour scheme and rented out for a dessert table or special occasions. Please contact Irina for rates and inquiries at (416) 319-5345 or irina@teapartyshop.ca.

To add a special touch, Irina also makes her own sugar cubes, including these red heart-shaped ones. They are so cute and sweet!

Inside the blue dome (see below) is a beautifully wrapped chocolate by Twinkle It. (Sorry! I wish I had captured a better photo) Each little wrapping is different and feels so special and unique. Almost too pretty to open!

Thank you Irina for a wonderful afternoon. Hopefully we can have our own little tea party one day!
